Kenly – Randy Thurman Edwards, age 74 passed away Sunday September 4, 2022 at his home in Kenly. He was born in Johnston County on February 10, 1948 to the late Thurman Edwards and Ethelene Davis Edwards. In addition to his mother and father, he is also preceded in death by a sister, Mitzie Edwards; brother in law, Joe Onnie Edwards.

A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Thursday September 8, 2022 at 11 AM. The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home on Thursday from 10 AM to 11 AM. Burial will follow the service in Holly Springs FWB Church Cemetery.

Mr. Edwards is survived by wife of 51 years, Nancy Beth Moore Edwards of Kenly; son, Randy Todd Edwards of Princeton; daughter, Aimee Beth Edwards Johnson and husband Matt of Clayton; grandchildren, Jakob Todd Edwards, Lilly Ann Edwards, Laurel Beth Johnson, Logan Matthew Johnson; brother, Jerry Roger Edwards and wife Avis of Savannah, GA; sister, Elaine Edwards of Middlesex.

Mr. Edwards was a member a Holly Springs FWB Church in Kenly.  He loved summer vacations with his family and spending time with his grandchildren at their sporting events. He enjoyed farming in addition to his work in accounting.
