Randolph Kirby Oliver (Randy) age 78 passed away at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC on Friday, July 26, 2024.  He was born in Wilson County on September 15, 1945 to the late Richard Adam Oliver and Marcedes Kirby Oliver.

The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma, NC on Monday, July 29th 2024 from 10:00am - 11:00am. A funeral service will follow visitation on Monday at 11:00am. A private, family only burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Smithfield.

Randy is survived by his wife, Carol Parker Oliver and daughters Amy Burnett, husband Craig of Fayetteville; Marla Massey, husband Reuben of Clayton; grandchildren Katheryn Burnett and Nicholas Massey.

Randy served his country in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965. After returning home, he made a career in industrial engineering at various factories including GTE Sylvania and Merck Pharmaceutical. He was a member of Kenly OFWB church and loved to spend time in his yard enjoying nature and feeding the birds.
