Peter T. Grap, 81, of Zebulon, NC died Wednesday February 26 th , 2025.
Peter was born January 14 th , 1944 in Bound Brook, Nj to Pete and Angie Grap.
Pete arrived in North Carolina during the fall of 1994 via a 20 year stay in Southern
California. He and his wife Grace immediately found a home on Bunn Lake. Pete took
to lake life and at 50 took up water skiing, quickly moving from 2 ski's to a single ski.
Dad continued to ski until his health prevented him just a few years ago. But if you
needed a pull he was your man. Pete and Grace became fast friends with Glenn and
Norma, their next-door neighbors. Skiing, deck and home projects and the occasional
"social" became routine. Just about 7 years ago Paul and Maryann Verderber moved in
across the street from mom and dad while they waited to build their house. Dad and
Paul became immediate friends. One of my last conversations with Dad was what a
great friend he had in Paul.
Peter is survived by his wife of 50 years Grace, their children Nanette and husband
Michael , George and wife Jan, 4 grandchildren Dustin, Nicholas, Mitchell and Mathew,
4 great grandchildren, Brooklynn, Jamie, Kendall and Shepherd. His Brother Carmen
and wife Sue and 3 nephews.
