Peggy Woodard Aycock, age 82, passed away peacefully at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield.  Born November 15, 1941 in Johnston County to the late Archie and Ruby Eatmon Woodard, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harmon Burton "Burt" Aycock, Jr., a sister, Joyce Gurley and a brother, R.A. Woodard Jr. Peggy was a retired school bus driver for Sumter county schools in Florida.  She moved back to Johnston County in 2014, following her husband's death, to be near her son.

Surviving are her son, Mike Holloman and his wife Angela of Brogden; step-son, Eddie Aycock and his wife Carol of Alabama; brother, Benny Woodard and his wife Betsy of Princeton; sisters, Judy Phillips and her husband Danny of Pine Level and Kay Barbee of Selma and two granddaughters, Stephanie Holloman of Raleigh and Brandi Holloman of Kinston.

Peggy will be buried beside her husband in the Florida National Cemetery near Bushnell, FL.  Per her wishes, there will be no formal services in North Carolina.
