Patricia "Pat" Shook Price, 71, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born August 11, 1953, in Onslow County, she was the daughter of the late Annie Ruth Moose Shook. In addition to her mother, Pat was preceded in death by her brother, David Shook.

Pat distinguished herself early in life as the valedictorian of her high school class. She went on to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she graduated from the School of Pharmacy. Pat dedicated her entire professional career to serving the people of Selma as a trusted and compassionate pharmacist. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Pat had a love for life's quieter joys. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and sewing. Pat also loved spending time at Kennels Beach. It was a place that brought her peace and happiness, which she fondly referred to as her "home away from home."

Pat is survived by her son, Allen Price (Julie); brother, Mike Preston; grandchildren, Colton Price and Jolene Price; and special friend, Rick Pulleyn.

Pat was a loving mother and grandmother, who will be greatly missed. Per her wishes, there will be no public services at this time.
