Patricia Andrews Meigs, age 76, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026, at UNC Rex Healthcare in Raleigh. Born on September 29, 1949, in Weymouth, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Helen Andrews. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gary Meigs.

Patricia was a loving and devoted mother, sister, and aunt who cherished her family above all else. She was a proud member of both the Citizens Police Academy and the Patriot Guard, where she found great purpose in serving and supporting others. Patricia was known for her quick wit, wonderful sense of humor, and remarkable gift for storytelling. She had a way of making people laugh, brightening every room she entered, and creating lasting memories with those fortunate enough to know her.

Patricia had a special place in her heart for beagles and was the devoted companion of four beloved beagles throughout her life. She was also an avid hockey fan who faithfully cheered for the Washington Capitals, with a particular admiration for Alex Ovechkin. Watching the Capitals capture the 2018 Stanley Cup was one of the highlights of her life as a devoted fan. Her kindness, compassion, vibrant spirit, and love for family, friends, and her faithful companions will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Patricia is survived by her children, Gary Meigs and wife, Christina, of North Attleboro, Massachusetts, Ginger Meigs of Clayton, North Carolina, and Erik Meigs of Plymouth, Massachusetts; her grandson, Thomas Beaudry of North Attleboro, Massachusetts; her sister, Kathleen Carroll and husband, James, of Easton, Maryland; her niece, Lisa Carroll of Riva, Maryland, and numerous cousins.
