Selma – Patricia (Pat) Broughton Harris, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, in Smithfield Manor Nursing & Rehab Center. She was born a daughter of the late Charlie Earvin Broughton and Naomi Jane Eason Broughton on July 17, 1947, in Johnston County.  She is preceded in death by her husband and caregiver, Claude Thomas (Tom) Harris and her brother, Bobby Earl Broughton and special cousin, Ruthie Slaughter Strickland.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 3, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with the burial to follow in Selma Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.

She is survived by her two precious sons, Thomas (Tommy) Wayne Harris of Smithfield, David Scott (Scottie) Harris of Weaverville; brothers, Billy Ray Broughton of Tarboro, David Lee Broughton (Burley) of Selma, Johnnie Wayne Broughton (Liz) of Spartanburg, SC, and James Erwin Broughton (Theresa) of Lucama; sisters, Carolyn Broughton Britt of Florence, SC, and Brenda Broughton Tillery of Tarboro, as well as her special cousin, Patsy Slaughter Daughtry (Tom) of Selma.
