Pamela Parrish Howell Griswold, age 57, of Selma passed away on Wednesday, December 17 at the SECU Hospice House. Born in Stanley County on October 26, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Maylon "Outfit" and Doris Blackwelder Parrish. Pam attended and taught Sunday School for 12 years at Selma Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church and later became a member of Micro Original Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Bernie Griswold. Funeral services will be held Friday at 6:00 PM in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with Rev. Al Warrick officiating. Burial will be at 10:00 AM Saturday at the Price Cemetery. Surviving are her son Johnny B. "J.B." Howell and wife Brandi of Angier, step-son Michael Griswold and wife Isabell of Lillington; daughter Lisa H. Holland and husband Dean of Micro; brothers L.M. Parrish, Jr and wife Nancy of Selma, Robert L. Parrish of Selma; sisters Shelia Godwin and husband Jesse of Kenly and Cathy Binkley of Kenly; grandchildren Barbara Griswold, Thomas Griswold, Dylon Jacovitch, Makayla Howell, Kelvin Holland, Noah Howell, Isaiah Howell and Sophia Howell; and her cat Goldilocks. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday night immediately following the service.
