Nettie Tyner Bennett, 86 of Pine Level went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, September 22, 2024.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 26, at 11:00 a.m. at Price Cemetery, 1945 Pine Level Selma Rd., Selma, NC. Arrangements are with Parrish Funeral Home of Selma.

Nettie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her Lord and family. She retired from Westinghouse in Raleigh after more than 29 years. She was a long-time member of Pine Level Pentecostal Holiness Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She loved to cook for her family and had a passion for sewing, making many special gifts for family and friends.

Surviving are her husband Billy L. Bennett; son Ronald L Bennett (Pam); daughter Beverly Kay Pate (Donnie); brother JR Tyner; sister Patricia Lewis; grandsons Brandon Pate (Megan), Chris Bennett (Isabella), and Dustin Pate (Bailey); great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Avery Pate, Kylie and Stetson Pate, Greenley Collins and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Roxie Tyner; brothers, Grover Tyner and Donald Ray Tyner; sister, Janie Tyner Abbott and twin sister, Betty Tyner.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Pine Level Pentecostal Holiness Church, 112 E Blanche St, Pine Level, NC 27568.

Her last breath on earth was her first breath in Heaven.
