Nancy Wilkins Johnson, age 60, died peacefully at home on December 2, 2020.

A native of Smithfield, NC, she attended Smithfield Selma High school and Meredith College.

Nancy was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School, was a

member of the choir for many years, and shared her musical talent of playing the flute for many

services, weddings and funerals.

Nancy is survived by the love of her life, Bruce Johnson. In their 40 years of marriage, they

never spent a night apart. They worked together at their business for 37 years before retiring

and selling the business in 2017. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers in law Susan

and John Cashwell and Iris and Mark Turner; and many very special nieces, nephews, and

cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bruce Maxton Wilkins and Hortense Wiggs

Wilkins.

There will be a private memorial celebrating Nancy's life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be
