Selma – Michael Mathew Weidner, age 83, passed away peacefully in his home on May 19, 2025. Born, December 21, 1941, in Green Bay, WI, he was a son of the late Walter Mathew Weidner and Phyllis Ellingson Weidner Minor. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as an avionic communications technician. After his retirement from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant, he owned or operated (A Child's Place) daycare centers in Johnston County for over 35 years. "Mr. Mike" as his students called him, is well known among many families that he has cared for over the years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Mary Diane Bissette Weidner; son Michael Weidner (Belinda); daughters Julie Weidner, Wendy Huff (Jonathan), Pamela Weidner Ford (Adam), Tiffany Bassett; grandchildren Emily Wilson (Kyle), Mathew Neuschafer, Lily West, DrewAnn Walker, Courtney Weidner; great-granddaughter Oliva-Mae Wilson. Michael is also survived by numerous brothers, sisters, nieces & nephews located in Wisconsin, Michigan, Oklahoma and Alaska.

A private family entombment will be held at a later date.
