Goldsboro – Michael Eric Thompson, age 61, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023, in Duke University Hospital in Durham. Born, March 27, 1962, in Wayne County, he was a son of the late Joseph Uzzell Thompson and Mary Lou Hardee Thompson. Mike was a dedicated worker as an HVAC technician for Jackson & Sons Heating and Air in Dudley for over 20 years. Mike enjoyed putting together model cars and he was a classic car enthusiast. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle in his spare time. Mike was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Princeton Cemetery with Rev. Steve Grice officiating. The family will receive friends at Parrish Funeral Home on Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Darlene Bartlett Thompson, son, Hunter Thompson of the home, brother, Joey Thompson and wife, Bobbi of Four Oaks, three nephews and three nieces, as well as his dog of the home, which he loved very much.
