Maynard William Gibson, age 87, died Thursday morning July 6, 2023 in Oakview Commons, following a period of declining health.  Born August 18, 1935 in Woodruff County, AR to the late Jim Felker and Pauline Simmons Gibson, he was preceded in death by brothers,Paul Gibson, Lawrence Gibson, Billy Wayne Gibson and Jimmy Harold Gibson and sisters, Helen Stafford and Patsy Gibson  Maynard was a member of the Philadelphia Church of God and he was a veteran of the US Air Force.

No formal services are planned at this time.

Surviving are his wife, Twyleen Purdy Gibson of Four Oaks; daughter, Myra Cutter and husband Robert of Smithfield; sister, Virginia Cariker and 6 grandchildren.
