Mary Elizabeth O'Kelley Lee, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Barbour Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Smithfield. Born in Oconee County, South Carolina, on September 29, 1932, she was a daughter to the late William E. O'Kelley and Tennie Gillespie O'Kelley.

Mary was a very loving and caring wife and mother. She loved her home and enjoyed decorating and making it cozy. Mary was very caring to her neighbors and had a big heart, especially for animals.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband and loving companion of 73 years, Mason Carl Lee, and brothers, Craig O'Kelley, Dewey O'Kelley, William O'Kelley Jr., and Ray O'Kelley.

Mary is survived by her son, Chevis Lee and wife Melba of Zebulon, NC; daughter, Ann Garner and husband George of Lancaster, SC; brothers-in-law, Beiman Lee and wife Pat and Henry Lee and wife Mary all of Seneca, SC; sisters-in-law, Jewel Morton of Seneca, SC; Lucy Rholetter and husband Sammy of Westminster, SC; and Ruth O'Kelley of Seneca, SC; and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
