Mary Jo Langdon "Connie" Pearce, age 81, died Sunday morning, November 6, 2022, at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield.  Born September 26, 1941, in Durham county to the late George Mack and Mary Bernice Thornton Langdon, she was the widow of Billy Ray "Bruiser" Pearce, who died July 24, 1992.  Connie managed several hotels and motels in the area over the years.  She worked with her brother, Mack Langdon for the last several years as an office manager/personal assistant for Wood Pest Control and Smith Exterminating.  She was a lifelong member of Johnston Union Free Will Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Bagley and the Rev. Kristen Tucker officiating.  Burial will follow in Selma Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 just prior to the service.

Surviving are her brother, G. Mack Langdon, Jr. and his wife Lori of Smithfield; sisters, Pat Langdon Brown and her husband Billy of Morehead City and Gwen Langdon Lynch of Selma; six nieces, four nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
