Selma – Marilyn Rose Thompson, age 76, passed away Thursday June 27, 2024 at her home in Selma. She was born in Johnston County on February 11, 1948 to the late Lewis S. Thompson Jr. and Ruby Parrish Thompson. In addition to her father and mother, she is also preceded in death by a brother, Gary Wayne Thompson.

She will be available for the public to pay their respect on Monday July 1, 2024 at Parrish Funeral Home from 12 noon to 4:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday July 2, 2024 at Watson Cemetery in Pine Level.

She is survived by her sister, Jean Crocker of Selma; nephew, Tony Crocker; great nephew, Schyler Crocker; great niece, Lydia Crocker.

Marilyn was a member of Pine Level Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time in her garden and shopping on the QVC Network.
