Selma – Margaret Massengill McCarty, age 89, died Friday, December 6, 2024, at Atrium Health Cabarrus. Born, October 23, 1935, in Johnston County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Bradley and Garlie Massengill. She was preceded in death by 10 brothers and 8 sisters. Margaret loved sewing and making quilts. She also enjoyed making many crafts.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Parrish Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Parker Family Cemetery in Four Oaks.

Margaret is survived by her 3 sons, Elton Allen (Brenda) of Selma, Jimmy Allen of Columbus, GA, and Tony Allen of Wilson Mills; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
