Lucy Harrelson Hill Worley, age 86, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, at Bella Rose Nursing and Rehabilitation in Garner. Born on March 19, 1939, in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Irvin Hill and Ora Johnson Hill.

Lucy dedicated 23 years of service as a nursing assistant at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church in Smithfield, where she previously served as a preschool Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher. She also enjoyed participating in the church's ladies' circle meetings.

A devoted community volunteer, Lucy supported the Girl Scouts of Johnston County for more than 30 years. She volunteered extensively and even recorded radio commercials for the annual cookie sales. Lucy had a love for roses and once maintained a small rose garden. Above all, she was a devoted mother who deeply loved her family.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Sunset Memorial Park.

Lucy is survived by her daughters, Georgia Worley Booth and her husband, Bill, and Linda Worley Koss and her husband, Roger; her grandchildren, Shannon Henriquez and her husband, Esleyther, Frank Koss, and Margaret Booth; and her great-granddaughter, Ana Henriquez.
