CLAYTON - Linwood Harrison Moore, age 78, died Sunday morning, March 31, 2024 in the Springbrook Rehabilitation and Nursing facility in Clayton.  Born December 30, 1945 in Johnston County to the late Lawrence Hoyt and Clyde Lee Moore.  He was preceded in death by five sisters and seven brothers, including his twin brother Glenwood.  Linwood was a pipe fitter in the heating and air conditioning industry all his working life, retiring with Dail Mechanical a couple of years ago.  When not working or spending time with his family you could find him in the woods.

Surviving are his wife Peggy B. Moore; sons, Linwood Moore, Jr. and wife Rebecca of Sanford and Troy Moore of Wilson's Mills; daughter, Robin Benson and husband Phillip of Clayton; brother, Robert Moore of Clayton; sister, Audrey Wooten of Clayton; six grandchildren, Liberty Moore, Dwayne Moore, Taylor Ricard (Verlin), Justin Moore, Brett Benson (Blythe) and Seth Benson (Kendall) and nine great grandchildren, Rayden, Ivy, Athena, Victoria, Isaac, Harper, Emmett, Miller "Goose" and Rush.

In accordance with Mr. Moore's wishes, there will be no formal services.
