Linda Eason Edwards, 75, of Smithfield, left her earthly body to go to her Heavenly home Monday morning, September 25 surrounded by her family.  After long term illness, she is now free of pain, is whole and rejoicing with relatives who preceded her in death.  She loved helping people and animals, sharing whatever she had with those in need.  She loved gardening with her favorite being roses.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Parrish Funeral Home, 1351 S Pollock St, Selma, NC 27576. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023 at Parrish Funeral Home, beginning at 1:00 pm.   Interment will be at The Selma Memorial Garden Mausoleum immediately following the service.

Linda was the daughter of the late Joseph Herman Eason and Lillian Pearl Eason  of Micro, NC.  Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Charlie Jackson Edwards of Smithfield, NC, her children, Dr. David Edwards of Greenville, NC and Lisa Edwards of Pittsboro, NC.  Both children share her love of helping people and rescue animals.
