Brogden - Linda Kay Lucas Best, age 76, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday September 18, 2026. She was born on November 30, 1949 to the late L.D. Lucas and Velda Mae Crumple. In addition to her father and mother, she is also preceded in death by a son, Kelvin Lee Best; sisters, Hilda Grey “Pat” Joyner, Caroly Ann Lucas.

The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home on Tuesday September 22, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow the service in the D. A. Overbee Cemetery in Brogden.

She is survived by her husband, Allen Ray Best SR.; sons, Allen Ray Best Jr., Derek Wayne Best and wife Dana; daughter, Wendy Carol Best Woodard; brother, Bobby Garland Lucas; sister, Laura Faye Suzor; grandchildren, Rebecca Rayanne Best, Kasey Leigh best and husband Erik Torres, Catherine Danielle Rubio and husband Aaron, Kelvin Gregory Woodard and wife Logan Blackmon, Karlyn Mae Woodard, Derek Lane Best, Emma Rose Best; great grandchildren, Lucas Matthew Beavers, Benjamin Allen Rubio, Kallum Lamar Torres, Killian Lex Torres, Kaius Lindan Torres.

Linda was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a business woman, caretaker, machine operator and a seamstress. Her children, grand kids and great grand kids were her world. She never met a stranger and will be remembered by all who know her as selfless.
