Selma – Linda Carolyn Pridgen Adams, age 81, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born January 3, 1945, in Bladen County, she was a daughter of the late Wilbert Pridgen and Nancy Herring Pridgen. Linda was a member of Parrish Memorial Baptist Church in Selma for many years. She graduated from Union High School, Class of 1963, and then went on to earn her degree in cosmetology from Trapman’s Beauty College in 1964. She owned and operated Linda’s Beauty Shop for over 50 years.

In her time at home, Linda enjoyed working in her yard and flower beds. Most importantly, she loved her family and spending time with them, especially her three grandkids. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home, with Rev. Joe Ballance and Mr. Franky Brady officiating. Burial will follow in Price Cemetery in Selma. The family will receive visitors and friends one hour prior to the service, from 1:00–2:00 p.m.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, William Earl “Billy” Adams; sons, Steven Adams (Louise) of San Antonio, TX, and David Adams (Kimberly) of Selma; brother, Charles Pridgen (Diane) of Roanoke Rapids; sister, Ann Batts of Raleigh; and her precious grandkids, Brandon Adams, Nick Adams, and Zoe Adams.
