Lillie "Shorty" Jernigan Langston, age 83, of Selma, passed away on June 10, 2023.  Lillie was born on September 15, 1939 to the late Henry and Lydia Hayes Jernigan.  She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Langston, step-daughter Sue Langston Collier, brothers Casper, Harvey, Alton, Luther, James Carl and Delton Jernigan, sisters Callie J. Barbour and Etheleen Moore and grandchildren Brian and Michael Tew, Susan Tew Barnes and Stephen Langston.  Lillie worked for several years at C & K Components and most recently was a sales rep for Rainbow Vacuum.  She was a member of the Church of Faith in Selma.

The family will receive friends at Parrish Funeral Home on Wednesday from 12-1 pm followed by a graveside service at 1pm in Selma Memorial Gardens.

Surviving are a step-son, Edward Langston, Jr. of Selma; step-daughter, Debbie Langston Granillo of Selma; grandchildren Allan Langston, Tracy Langston, Josh Barnes, Elisa and Kellan Granillo; nephews and niece, Ray Moore and Melvin Gilliam Moore, Ellen Radford; sister-in-law Faye Jernigan and her daughter Debbie.
