Lillian “Johnnie” Turner Mayo, age 61, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at UNC Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro. Born on November 12, 1964, in Wilson County, she was the daughter of the late Stacey and Dorothy Turner.

Johnnie was truly the life of the party and one of the good ones. She had a vibrant personality that could light up any room. She cherished the time she spent with her sisters, nieces, and nephews, and the love she had for her family was evident in everything she did. Johnnie was also deeply devoted to her PDM family.

Johnnie is survived by her sisters, Olivia "Libby" Radford of Princeton, NC, and Vivian Phillips of Fremont, NC. She also leaves behind six beloved nieces and nephews and eight cherished great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom will miss her dearly.

Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
