Lazaro Tovar-Ramirez, age 55 passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Wake Med Hospital in Raleigh. Born in Guanajuato, Mexico, on March 22, 1968, he was a son to the late Nazario Tovar Medina and Maria Angeles Ramirez Conejo.

Lazaro was a hard worker with a passion for painting. In his free time, he enjoyed grilling, listening to country music, going to the beach, and camping with his family. Lazaro loved spending time with his grandkids, and was loved by everyone who knew him.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday October 24, 2023, at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday October 24, 2023 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home at 7:00 PM.

Lazaro is survived by his wife, Andrea Ramirez; daughters, Yesenia Herring and husband James, and Lisa Ramirez; son, Jonathan Ramirez; four sisters, Evangelina, Maria Dolores, Tomasa, and Emma; brother, Ruben; and four grandkids, Bryan, Zackary, Vanessa, and Mia.
