Laura Williams
Sellers
February 15, 1952 – April 3, 2026
Laura Williams Sellers, age 74, of Pine Level, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 3, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born February 15, 1952, she was the daughter of the late James Arthur Williams and Lillie Mae Byrd Williams. In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Mickey Sellers; brothers, James Billy Byrd, and David Arthur Williams; sister, Shirley Byrd Peedin; and special nephew, Shayne Williams.
Laura was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was defined by her deep care for others. She was full of love and always made sure those around her were supported, comforted, and never alone. For over 40 years, Laura called Pine Level home, where she built a life centered on family. She found joy in simple pleasures, especially watching old black-and-white television shows and sci-fi programs, which brought her both entertainment and comfort. Laura will be greatly missed; her family finds comfort knowing she is with the angels in Heaven.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026, at 3:00pm, in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors one-hour prior to the service, beginning at 2:00pm. Flowers are welcome.
Laura is survived by her daughter, Ruth Ann Lane Gossett (Tim Starling); brothers, Melvin Williams (Melva), Benny Williams, and Dennis Williams; sisters, Doris Sellers (James "Buster") and Betty Bridgers (Ted); grandchildren, Jennifer Gossett, Matthew Gossett (Heather Small), and Christian Chase (Bethany Lilly); great-grandchildren, Conner, Ayden, and Seth; special great-nephews, Tyler Williams (who was more like a son) and Ethan Williams; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Kathy Lienenkaemper, a dear friend of Laura's whose visits brought a smile to her face and joy to her heart. The family is eternally grateful for Laura's brothers and sisters, who helped take care of Laura during her battle with cancer. The family would also like to thank Heartland Hospice, whose care for Laura went above and beyond in her final days.
