Larry Eugene Whitley (Wink), age 77, passed away on February 5, 2024 at his home in Bailey, NC. He was born in Smithfield on October 23, 1946. He was predeceased by his parents Hubert Oscar & Alma Mae Whitley, brothers Hubert & Danny Whitley.
Surviving Larry are his children, son David Whitley (Marilyn), grandson's Caleb & Noah. Daughter Jennifer King (Ronnie), grandson Kaydon. Sister-in-laws Vivian Whitley & Debra Whitley. Nieces Shelda Strickland & Tammy Collie, and his dear friend Sandra Luther.
Larry was a proud Vietnam Veteran and a retired heavy equipment operator. Larry enjoyed the outdoors with a passion for hunting & fishing. Larry always had a smile for everyone and made the world a better place. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and friend to many.

The family will receive visitors in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Saturday February 10, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A memorial service will follow the visitation on Saturday at 7:00 PM. Burial services to follow on Sunday at 2:00 PM, Sardis Baptist Church, Brogden.
In lieu of flowers, Larry has requested donations be made to Milbournie Free Will Baptist Church, 5106 Raleigh Road parkway West, Wilson, NC 27896.
