Larry Holland, 74, of Selma, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 4, 2026, while being surrounded by his family and friends.

Larry was a loving and devoted husband, father, and friend. He was the son of Leon and Erma Pope Holland, of Selma. He was a member of Branch Chapel Church in Selma and the owner of Larry Holland’s Garage for 27 years. He has been an auto mechanic most of his life. He enjoyed working with his hands, fishing at his pond, tending his garden, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years and beloved caretaker, Pauline “Gail” Corbett Holland, and his children, Wayne Holland (Janet), Tammy Hocutt, and Kevin Holland (Lorie). He has six grandchildren, Katelyn Howell (Codie), Toby Hocutt, Kristin Holland, Colby Holland, Kimber Holland, and Julie Holland; and one great-granddaughter, Katherine Howell.

Brothers and sisters include Betty Jean Hodge (Billy), Jimmy Holland (Marie), Nancy Edwards (Kenneth), Danny Holland (Ella), Barbara Freeman (Charles), Brenda Oliver, Kenneth Holland Ricky Holland (Jeanette), sister-in-law Darlene Holland and many nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Holland and Erma Pope Holland; his brother, Gary Holland; sister-in-law, Jennifer Holland, brother-in-law, Richard Oliver, and son-in-law, Kelvin Hocutt.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 7, 2026, at 11:00 am at Branch Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, NC Hwy 96, Selma, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. There will be no graveside service. Pastor Eric Narron and Billy Nowell will officiate.
