Larry Charles Hodge, age 75, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023, at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield. Born in Wilson County, on January 9, 1948, he was a son to the late Vick Curith Hodge and Naydell Whitley Hodge.

Larry was a lifetime member of Stancil's Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church in Kenly. He served on the Bethany Fire Department for 58 years. Larry also worked as an electrician for many years for Watson Electrical and Construction Company.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Friday, September 22, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. The family will receive friends the night before the service at the funeral home from 6-8 P.M. on September 21, 2023. Burial will follow at Creech's Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at other times at the home.

In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his first wife, Judy Laverne Hodge.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Ann Powell Hodge of Selma; daughter, Judy Carol Holland (Neal) of Kenly;  sons, Larry Vick Hodge (Shannon) of Kenly and Michael McKeel (Brittney) of Whispering Pines; step-daughter, Tammy Godbey (Jimmie) of Wilson; brother, Linwood Hodge (Beverly) of Kenly; brother-in-law, Shelton McKeel of Michigan; sister-in-laws, Janet Medlin of Kenly and Debra Sasser of Selma; grandchildren, Austin and Baylee Holland, Jordan and Bristol Hodge, Coltin McKeel, and great grandchild, O'Shea Johnson.
