Kenneth "Kenny" Ray Starling, age 59, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Wake Med Hospital in Raleigh. Born in Johnston County, on February 21, 1964, he was a son to the late Robert Maylon Starling and Myrtle Grey Brown.

Kenny was a kind man who would do anything to help anyone in need. God took an angel when he called him home. He was a hard worker and could fix just about anything, there was not much Kenny couldn't do. Kenny was employed by Bunn Construction as a truck driver. He loved going to work every day and he loved his coworkers. In his free time, Kenny enjoyed playing country music on the guitar, fishing, boating, camping, and the lake. He loved his family dearly.

A visitation will be held in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Monday, December 11, 2023. A graveside service will be held at 2pm at Selma Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, December 12, 2023.

In addition to his parents, Kenny is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Maylon Starling Jr, and his step-son, Lloyd Vance Narron Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Jackie Oliver Narron of Selma; sister-in-law, Bonnie Oliver of Selma; and brothers-in-law, Leon Stevens (Samantha) of Angier and Harold Stevens of Smithfield.
