Smithfield – Katie Lee Stanley Woodall age, 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 22, 2023, in the SECU Hospice House of Smithfield. Born, October 27, 1942, in Johnston County, she was a daughter of the late Elbert and Pauline Stanley. She is preceded in death by her infant brother, Elbert Stanley; sisters, Hazel Overbee, Rena Allen, and Jean Byrd. Katie was a member of Tee's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Smithfield. Katie was an active member in the church, she taught Sunday school and was always involved in church activities and in her community as well. Katie worked in the banking industry for many years. She loved shopping and taking care of herself, she was always well dressed. Katie also enjoyed cooking, baking, and canning produce from the garden. Most of all, she loved her family. Katie loved spending time with her siblings each week, as well as her kids and grandkids. She was a loving wife to Mr. Larry Woodall for fifty-six years and she enjoyed taking him on trips to the mountains. She was a Godly, Loving, family lady, and she will be missed by all her many friends and family.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Tee's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Smithfield with the burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.

She is survived by her loving husband, Mr. Larry Wayne Woodall; sons, Chris Woodall (Marcia) of Smithfield, Brian Woodall (Michelle) of Smithfield, brother, Will Stanley of Dunn; sisters, Hilda Lawrence of Four Oaks, Alice Bailey of Selma; grandchildren, Emma Lorren (Jake), Gabe Woodall, Conner Woodall, Caleb Woodall and Cayden Woodall, goddaughter, April Mendenhall (Joe) of Big Rapids, MI, as well as many friends.

Foundation's Hospice Fund. Make checks payable and
