Raleigh – Kathryn Boyette Radford, age 70, passed away Wednesday November 15, 2023 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. She was born in Wayne County on July 15, 1953 to the late Henry Boyette and Mary McNeil Boyette. In addition to her father and mother, she is also preceded in death by sisters, Lynette Harrison, Brenda Garris and Carol Cox.

The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home on Sunday November 19, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home at 3:00 PM on Sunday. Burial will follow the service in Bizzell Grove Cemetery.

She is survived by husband of 47 years, Douglas Radford of Raleigh; son, Grey Radford, and wife Lacey of Smithfield; daughter, Erin Radford Smith of Archers Lodge; brother, Gene Boyette, and wife Kay of Keener; sister, Helen Long and husband Alan of Riegelwood; grandchildren, Zackary Radford, Wesley Smith, and Liam Smith; several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Radford was a member at Zebulon Baptist Church, and served in many capacities at the church prior to her illness and subsequent decline. She loved going to Bible study, cooking, and spending time with family. She was a tenacious and compassionate woman with a forgiving spirit to say the least.
