Joyce Pope Honeycutt, age 75, died Saturday, February 17, 2024, in WakeMed of Raleigh, with her family by her side. Born January 23, 1949, in Johnston County to the late Willard and Lanie Ellis Pope, she was the widow of Rev. Russell Glenn Honeycutt who died in 2006 and she was preceded in death by her son, Joey Glenn Honeycutt and sister, Sue Pope Thomas.  Joyce was a longtime member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 7:30 pm in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6:30 – 7:30 pm, just before the service.  A committal service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am in Raleigh Memorial Park.

Surviving are her daughter, Cynthia Ann Jones of Raleigh; brother, Willard John Pope of Clayton; sister, Bonnie Ward of Pine Level; grandson, Tyndall Cole Jones and girlfriend Brooke Miller of Durham and two great-grandchildren, Brynley Lynn Jones and Weston Cole Jones.

Flowers are acceptable or memorial contributions may be sent to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
