Johnny Eldridge Woodard, Jr., 80, of Pine Level, passed away December 17, 2023. He was born September 11, 1943, in Johnston County to the late Johnnie Eldridge Woodard and Eula Mae Peedin Woodard.

Following his graduation from Pine Level High School, Johnny joined the United States Army where he served for two years. Much of that time he was stationed at the Panama Canal.

Johnny worked 30 years for IBM Corporation which was located in the Research Triangle Park as a manufacturing department manager.

He was a member of Pine Level Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a past deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and church treasurer for 10 years.

Graveside service will be conducted with Rev. John Graves and Rev. Jimmy Boykin officiating on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in Selma Memorial Gardens.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Bonnie Peedin Woodard, sister Janie Woodard Creech of Charlotte, and special great nephew Jarrett Ball of Benson, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
