Selma – Joan Sillmann Little, age 86, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024, in Smithfield. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 6, 1938, to the late Karl Eckerman and Ruth Miller Sillmann. In addition to her father and mother, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Little; sister, Jessica Sillmann Smith; and granddaughter, Carlea Rae Little. Joan attended Whitley Church in Princeton. She worked as a hairstylist in a local salon in Princeton. Once her children were born, Joan stayed at home and took care of her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her life. Joan also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and making ceramics. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing with her loved ones. Christmas was her favorite time of year and she talked about it all year long as she wanted it to be extra special for all.

A chapel service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, in the chapel at Evergreen Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Joan is survived by her daughter, Charlene "Lee" Little of Smithfield; son, Charles "Tim" Little and wife Patricia of Sneads Ferry; sister, Judith Hardigan of Chestertown, Maryland; grandchildren, Clayton "Clay" Little and wife Krystal, Emmett "Tres" Wilkins and special friend Samantha Heath, and Kathleen "Kati" Wilkins; great-grandchildren Dillon Murray, Devan Murray, Emmett "Char" Wilkins, Bentley Little, Noah Murray, Rayne Little, and Layla Little.
