Jimmy Wayne Lee, age 68, of Micro, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on August 5, 2019.  Born in Johnston County on November 12, 1950, he was the son of the late Robert and Addie Strickland Lee.  Jimmy was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Ray Strickland and Henry Randy Lee.

Jimmy loved fishing with his wife and one of his best fishing buddies was the late Jim Langston.  He loved raising hogs and chickens and spending time in his garden.  His other passion was spending time with family and friends.  He spent many days with his son-in-law Bobby Dale and the Wiggs family in the tobacco and beans fields.  He was a longtime employee of Edgerton Feed Mill in Micro.

The family will receive friends at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma on Wednesday, August 7 from 6 to 8 pm.  A graveside service with military honors will be held on Thursday at 10:00am in the Lee Family Cemetery, 2385 Thompson Rd., Four Oaks, NC.

Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Elaine Peacock Lee; sons Sammy Lee and wife Leigh of Smithfield, Byron Lee and wife Amber of Micro; daughter Dawn Wiggs and husband Bobby Dale of Selma; brother Robert Bruce Lee and wife Brenda of Lake Placid, FL; mother-in-law Willa Nichols of Micro; sister-in-law Angie Benson and husband Clent of Smithfield; special aunt Zillian Lee Gurley of Warsaw; grandchildren Colt Cowdrey, Curtis Wiggs, Hunter Lee, Chance Lee, Garrett Lee, Kennedy Lee, Anderson Lee, Savannah Lee and Anna Wiggs; and two fur babies Taco and Little Man.

The family wishes to extend a special Thank You to Dr. Renee Watson and Community Hospice for all of the care and assistance.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Parrish Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses or to a charity of one's choice.
