Jerry Michael Toler, age 55, of Bagley Road near Kenly, died Monday. Born in Johnston County on August 10, 1953, he was the son of Letha Lane Toler Shook of Kenly and the late Michael U. Toler. Jerry was an IT Technician with the NC Department of Justice. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to play with his grandchildren.A memorial service will be held Thursday at 6:00 PM in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service.Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Jerry Holt Toler; sons, Steven Michael Toler and wife Beth of Benson, Tony Rabil and wife Melissa of Clayton, Brian Rabil and wife Lisa of Princeton; brothers, James Toler of Princeton, Jimmy Toler of Siler City, and Jackie Toler of Kenly; a sister, Joanne Rose of Smithfield; and grandchildren, Blaine Toler, Quinton Toler, Sydney Toler, Kaitlyn Rabil, Mikayla Rabil, Brennan Rabil, Natalie Rabil, Ella Rabil, and one grandchild soon to arrive; and man's best friend "Baby".In lieu of flowers memorials in Jerry's memory may be made to American Heart Association, PO Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216, the Diabetes Association, 2418 Blue Ridge Rd, Suite 206, Raleigh, NC 27607, or the Arthritis Foundation, 200 E.
