Selma – Jerry Wayne Johnson, age 80, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born, December 24, 1944, in Wilson County, he was a son of the late Rolhings and Virginia Johnson. Jerry was a pastor and served the Lord faithfully in ministry for 57 years. He pastored 10 churches during his ministry. All who met him were grateful to have known him.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Parrish Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Parrish Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Selma Memorial Gardens.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patricia Johnson; children, Joy Faulkner, Jody Robertson and husband Jeremy, Jerry Wayne Johnson, Jr., John Johnson and wife Beth; grandchildren, Chantz Faulkner and wife Jessica, Logan Robertson and wife Alexandra, Noah Faulkner and wife Madelyn, Landon Robertson, Caleb Johnson and wife Elizabeth, Joshua Johnson, Sarah Johnson, Rachel Johnson; and brother, Rodney Johnson and wife Frankie.
