Jayla Romani Martinez was born and passed away on Tuesday July 18, 2023 to loving parents Jose Rivas and Janet Martinez of Selma.

A funeral mass will be conducted at St. Ann Catholic Church in Clayton on Friday June 28, 2023 at 1 PM. A funeral service will follow the mass on Friday at 3 PM at Iglesia Adventista del Séptimo Día Hispana de Smithfield / Smithfield Hispanic Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Burial will follow the service in Selma Memorial Gardens at 530 PM on Friday.

In addition to her parents, Jayla is survived by her brother, Jose Rivas Martinez of the home; sister, Ashley Rivas of the home; maternal grandparents, Juan and Rosalva Martinez of Selma; paternal grandparents, Jenny Mendez and Roberto Rivas of Selma; many aunts and uncles.
