Janey House Lane, age 58, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at her home. Born July 8, 1965 in Johnston County she was a daughter of the late James and Velma Daughtry House. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doug Lane; and brother, Phil House. Janey attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Spence officiating. Burial will follow in Micro Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday evening, January 22, 2024 at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma.

Surviving are her son, Hunter Lane and wife Brittany of Middlesex; daughter, Joy Jones of Princeton; brother, Dennis House (Bonnie Wolfe) of Smithfield; sister, Elise Atkinson and husband David of Micro; grandchildren, Chloe Lane, Caleb Jones and Makayla Jones; brother-in-law, Greg Lane; sister-in-law, Darnell House; and canine companion, Zoey.
