Smithfield – Jana Ward Driver, age 46, passed away Thursday April 2, 2020. She was born in Johnston County July 22, 1973 to Russell and Janice Ward of Smithfield. She is preceded in death by grandparents, Betty Quick, Ilene and Leon Ward, Bob Williams; Brother, Tommy Ward Jr. A private  graveside service will be conducted in Yelverton Grove Church Cemetery Saturday April 4, 2020  with Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating.  In addition to her parents, Ms. Driver is also survived by son, Brent Driver and girlfriend Sydney Monsees of Greenville; Brother, Jeffrey Ward and wife Kim of Selma; nieces, Christa Hinson, Brittany Ward, Emily Ward, Sara Ward, Abby Ward; great nieces, great nephews. Mrs. Ward was the marketing director at Brookdale Senior Living where she worked for five years. When not working, she enjoyed taking trips to the beach, shopping, and spending time with her family and dog, Dory.
