James "Dick" Tripp, age 92, of Brogden, NC, passed away September 19,2023 in St. Luke's Hospital in San Antonio, Tx. Born September 10, 1931 in Pitt County, NC he was a son of the late Tom Earnest and Pauline "Lizzie" Stancil Tripp. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sally Anderson Tripp; brothers, Percy Stancil, Robert Stancil, and Toby Tripp; and sisters, HelenTripp, Daisy Tripp Cale, and Ruth Tripp.

Dick was an active member of Brogden Volunteer Fire Department. He always helped with "The Feed" every year. He worked at Deacon Jones Pontiac for many years. Dick was a kind and caring man. Always willing to lend a hand to his friends and neighbors.

A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 11am in Baker's Chapel Church Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in Baker's Chapel Church Fellowship Hall.

Surviving are his son, James Ray Tripp of Brogden, NC; daughter,  Ann Tripp of New Braunfels, TX; and brother, Thomas Lee Tripp, sister, Louise.
