James Donald Riddle, 75, passed away at UNC Health in Smithfield on Saturday, September 2, 2023. Don was born in Harnett County on July 19, 1948, to the late James Arthur Riddle Jr. and Ruth Dewar Riddle. In addition to his parents Don was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Roberson Riddle.

Don was retired from Progress Energy (CP&L) and the Town of Farmville. He was a member of Howell Swamp OFWB Church in Walstonburg as well as an active member of the Howell Swamp Layman's League. Don was an avid baseball fan who loved the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed reading, golf and watching Westerns.  Don was a "Ford Man" who loved his Mustangs.

Don is survived by his daughter, Teresa Riddle; son, Jeremy Riddle and his wife Shannon; brother, Tim Riddle and his wife Beth and many cousins.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. The service will be held immediately after, in the chapel, at Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Glass officiating.
