Selma – James Edward Lawhon Jr., age 60, passed away Monday April 1, 2024 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield. He was born in Johnston County on April 10, 1963 to the late James Edward Lawhon Sr. and Elizabeth Hatcher.

The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home on Thursday April 4, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

He is survived by his son, Jason Lawhon and girlfriend, Mackenzie of Selma; daughter, April Lawhon and boyfriend, Travis of Four Oaks; grandchildren, Noelle and Nelle; cousins, Troy and Alex Lawhon.

Mr. James was a member of the Pine Level Fire Department for over 24 years. He was also a member of the Dragon Slayers motorcycle club and The Sons of Confederate Soldiers. He also loved to go hunting and spending time with his family and friends. Family will be accepting visitors at Mr. James's residences at other times.
