Selma- James Edward Langley, passed away on Thursday, November 21. He was born January 23, 1941 to the late Robert and Della Langley in Johnston county. Mr. James loved his family, farming and fishing.  He is preceded in death by his son James Daniel Langley; brothers Johnny and Phil Langley; sisters Helen Brown, Elgie Bass, Mary Nettles, and Jackie Narron.

A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday November 24, 2019 at Parrish Funeral Home Chapel followed by an internment at Tee's Chapel church cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday, November  23, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 pm.

Mr. James is survived by his wife of 41 years Mrs. Edith Joan Langley, his sister Ann Davis and husband Percy of Smithfield and special nephew Tommie Deese ;  adopted family Ricardo Ramirez Mendoza and wife Ana Gabriela Ruiz Sanchez; Laney Ramirez Ruiz, Payton Ramirez Ruiz, and Madeline Ramirez Ruiz.
