Clayton – James "Chester" Dwight Price, age 66, passed away peacefully Tuesday June 11, 2024 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield. He was born in Johnston County on December 18, 1957 to the late Joseph Luther Price and Bertha Massey Price. In addition to his father and mother, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Linda Culbreth Price; brothers, John Henry Price and Charles Ray "Jack" Price.

The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home on Saturday June 15, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Mr. Price is survived by sisters, Sallie Henry and husband Jim, of Simpsonville, SC, Debra "Susie" Warren and husband Richard of Alvarado, TX; brothers, Larry "Sam" Price and wife Peggy of Black Creek, Kenneth "Pancho" Bruce of Micro; step children, Jerry Woods, David Woods, Gary Woods and Marty Woods all of Fayetteville; real good friend, Stacey; and his dog, Little Bit.

Chester was an outdoors man who never met a stranger. He loved to barbecue pigs, grow vegetables in his garden and going to the beach and fishing.
