Selma – James" Winky" Winston Davis, age 80, passed away Saturday February 3, 2024 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. He was born in Durham County on February 16, 1943 to the late Joseph "Joe" Davis and Hester Pittman Davis.

The family will receive visitors in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Thursday February 8, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A memorial service will follow the visitation on Thursday at 6:00 PM.

James is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Judy" JC" Davis; sons, Wink Davis Jr. and wife Renee of Smithfield, Tony Davis, and wife Christy of Selma; sister, Beryle Talton of Smithfield; grandchildren, Sydney Satterwhite and husband James, Casey Murphy and husband Nick, Cierra Ricks and husband Tyler, Gracie Davis.

Mr. Davis was a member of Selma OFWB Church and loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He also was a bluegrass enthusiast who loved a good oyster roast and his dogs. Many people would know him through his years of being a sponsor for AA.
