Micro-James Alvin Allen, Jr., age 78, of Micro, died Wednesday. Born in Johnston County on October 8, 1929, he was the son of the late James Alvin, Sr. and Pearl Allen. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with burial following in the Richardson Cemetery in Wilson's Mills.Surviving are: a son, Virgil Allen of Interlochen, MI; daughters, Vickie Johnson and Valerie Nicole Renfrow, both of Micro, Natasha Allen of Pine Level, and Natalie McLamb of Cleveland School; ten grandchildren, and a sister Edna who lives in the mountains of North Carolina.The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday night from 7 to 9 PM and at other times at the home of Scotty and Vickie Johnson on Bagley Road near Kenly, NC.Condolences may be sent to the family at www.parrishfh.com.
