Jack LeRoy Shannon, 85, of Fuquay-Varina, NC, passed away peacefully at his home. He was born on December 11, 1940, in Webster County, Nebraska, to the late Oral Gene Shannon and Esther Scharff Shannon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon Shannon.

Jack is survived by his daughter, Tonya Shannon of Selma; his step-son, Kenneth Potter (Jayme) of Cape Coral, FL; grandchildren, Gary House, Jr. (Alex Ricci) of Selma, Hannah Turner of Nashville, TN, Bryan Potter of Fort Myers, FL, Tera Whitley, Daniel Krammes, and Jacob Wright; and great-grandchildren, Gavin House and Drew House. He is also survived by his brother, Jim Shannon (Judy); his sister, Carol Buford; and many loved and cherished nieces and nephews.

Jack proudly served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He worked as an electrician for many years and retired from L.L. Vann Electric, Inc. of Raleigh, NC.

A visitation will be held Saturday, February 7, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Parrish Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Wake Chapel Memorial Gardens in Fuquay-Varina.
