Galivants Ferry, SC – Jack Baker, age 73, formerly of the Brogden Community of Johnston County, died Saturday, December 28, 2019 at his daughter's home. Born September 11, 1946 in Johnston County he was a son of the late George Gilbert and Lucy Lee Rose Baker. Jack was a member of the Smithfield Fire Department in the 70's, living, with his family upstairs.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2019 in Baker's Chapel Church Cemetery with Rev. Jim Hare and Ms. Martha Peedin officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in Baker's Chapel Church Fellowship Hall.

Surviving are son, Chadd Baker of Galivants Ferry, SC; daughters, Laura "Jenny" Baker, Conway, SC, Blenda Jenkins and husband Shan of Galivants Ferry, SC, Katrina Speight of Aynor, SC, Sabrina Johnson of Aynor, SC, and Candace Baker of Aynor, SC; brother, Herman Baker of Florida; sisters, Pearl Allen of Garner and Kathy Medlin of Homestead; sixteen grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
